Meet the Library Advisory Board

The ultimate givers of time, resources and insight that drives our programs & community outreach.

The Van Zandt County Sarah Norman Library Advisory Board is composed of county residents that serve without pay.

The Board consists of a President, Vice-President and Secretary. The object and purpose of the Board is to act in an advisory capacity to the Commissioner’s Court to promote the Library and assist the Library Director.

The Library Board recommends Policies and Procedures and the Commissioner’s Court approves or denies these policies and procedures.

All members of the Board are nominated to serve and must be approved by the Commissioner’s Court. The members serve a term of three years and can be renewed for an additional term of three years. Members of the Board are chosen to represent each of the 4 precincts of Van Zandt County.

Regular meetings of the Library Advisory Board are the 4th Thursday of each month excluding November and December at 2:00 pm at the Library. If you would like to address the Board please see the President to be placed on the Board Agenda at least seven days in advance of a meeting.
