Youth Volunteer Application (Ages 13-17)

Volunteering is good for the soul. If you between the ages of 13 & 17, this is the application for you. Below, we have outlined the opportunities and qualifications to become a teen volunteer at the Van Zandt County Sarah Norman Library. If you feel you’d be a good fit, please complete the online application at the bottom of this page.

OPPORTUNITIES | DUTIES:

  • Shelving books & other materials
  • Assisting with book repair
  • Assisting with Summer Reading Program and displays
  • Assisting patrons with computer usage
  • Straightening library

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 13-17 years of age
  • Must provide your own transportation
  • Must have the ability to follow guidelines and directions
  • Must be able to independently participate in training
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills


    Once the form is received, Billie Jean Cole, Volunteer Coordinator or Jordin Shilling, Youth Services Librarian, will contact you for an in-person orientation.
