Adult Volunteer Application

Volunteering is good for the soul. If you are 18 years or older, this is the application for you. Below, we have outlined the opportunities and qualifications to become an adult volunteer at the Van Zandt County Sarah Norman Library. If you feel you’d be a good fit, please complete the online application at the bottom of this page.

OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Shelve books & other materials
  • Assist with book repair
  • Work the front desk
  • Assist with the Summer Reading Program and displays
  • Assist patrons with computer usage
  • Straighten library

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide your own transportation
  • Have the ability to follow guidelines and directions independently
  • Participate in training
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills

Once the form is received, Billie Jean Cole, Volunteer Coordinator or Jordin Shilling, Youth Services Librarian, will contact you for an in-person orientation.
